We have captured an intelligence drone spying on Officer Salem-3. Unfortunately, it had been modified with additional security features. During our autopsy it rapidly corrupted its own drive to prevent it from being traced. Based on location information we did recover, it seems to have originated from a circled region between the southern Nile river and what was southern Syria. We suspect there is an underground coalition that survived our Zerorays, but we have yet to find them. Something about their habitat is preventing us from detecting their presence despite our constant satellite surveillance. We have sent teams to manually search the bahrs of that region. We don’t believe them to be in the Mediterranean or Red Sea, but if our findings prove fruitless we may redirect our efforts.
Inside of a late Anthropocenic bunker located in the Eastern Desert, we discovered it was built atop a cave that was once inhabited by humans around 4000 BCE. The humans that inhabited this bunker had explored the cave and discovered a fossilized tablet comprised of woven reeds lathered in gypsum plaster (or a similar substance) with charcoal writing. This seemed to have been inscribed by an isolated Saharan tribe, some remains were found in the cave that we can assume are related. The mouth of the cave had been covered by sand, which must have smothered the inhabitants and ended this bloodline.
The language on the tablet is unlike any other known human language but used symbols similar to Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs. It seems humans never discovered this language, making us the first to translate it. Below is an approximation of what this tablet could have implied:
