The Ka Sector of the Cloud’s Reanimation software is based on a belief held by Northeast African humans (often referred to as “Egyptians”) around 3100 BCE that their soul could be captured by art long after decomposition. According to their belief, the body had to have been recreated with all parts visible. The Ka Sector in a way takes creative liberties with replicating consciousnesses uploaded from imperfect/damaged brain specimens. Imperfections were qualified through Aphrodite’s processing division (colloquially referred to as “Heaven’s Gates” by human uploads living within Aphrodite’s realms), which means we have no way of knowing what those qualifications for “imperfection” were.
I’ve heard of a burgeoning movement within the Cloud that described this process as digital eugenics, and is a factor in the organization of a revolution within the software.
