Jesús Reyes-Guerrero was tragically killed by a walker in the Ellsworth District of the South American Economic Alliance last Friday after provoking the machine following a night out with his friends. This is the second altercation between a human and walker this month, following the attack made on Alfonso Schaumburg that left him hospitalized. The federal government of the SAEA has not committed to investigating the matter, and the Ellsworth Police Department has refused to comment.

Reyes-Guerrero’s companion who was with him that night, Carlos Sanchez, spoke to us about his harrowing experience.

“We were drinking, and [Reyes-Guerrero] sees the [walker] standing outside of a bar we were passing. [Reyes-Guerrero] started shouting [expletives] at the thing and antagonizing it before starting to push it around. It then grabbed him by his head and somehow instantly made him collapse, no blood, no nothing. It turned to us so we started running.”

Following this statement, Sanchez began sobbing and apologizing to his late friend, before declining to continue our interview.

The Canadians have begun to discuss potentially dismantling all walkers in the region, however efforts have stalled following pushback from The Cloud’s Canadian legal team. Reyes-Guerrero’s family has joined Schaumburg’s family in filing a lawsuit against The Cloud.

Updates will come as the situation develops. As of now, The Cloud has refused all invitations for an interview, and Reyes-Guerrero’s family has asked for their privacy to be respected, and for us to extend prayers during this time.
